Perla, which has been assigned the most beautiful room was the name of the Labrador that Sandra, Mario and Marco loved immensely for 15 years. In her memory they also created the non-profit organization "Perlamore" in defending abused animals by providing shelters where they can be safe.

During a painful period of their lives, Mario brought Perla as the new addition to their family. What Perla meant to them can hardly be described in words but here is some of Sandra’s on her beloved Perla on her passing:

“Dogs are all the virtues of man without his vices they possess beauty but not vanity, strength but not arrogance, courage but not ferocity.”

Without you I am out of breath, I feel my heart torn you carry a piece of me with you, you were sensitive, simple, loving, joyful, grateful, perfection, reliable, present and faithful, you trusted me to the end!

Dogs are able to fill the loneliest lives of love. You have no idea how many elderly people have been saved by their love, by their enthusiasm, by the help they give to the disabled, to the sick. I hope to see the world one day with nursing homes, schools, hospitals, jobs, prisons, in the company of animals they are a resource for everyone!

Paradoxically Animals make us human!

There are still many people who fight to protect defenseless beings and instead of raging against those who do harm, we should join more and more to those who do good.”
